Planning ahead would have been a better idea. I find it's grape harvesting season again. Labor day weekend and it's me versus the vines. This year, it's me versus a bumper crop and a bug of an idea to try countertop wine making. Someone stop me now! I've wandered through a dozen or more sites already for a balance of simplest approach and best results. Luckily for me, this time rational thought won and I haven't started mashing anything with any part of my body. Strike that - I'm pressing varying amounts of tissue on the scratches where the interwoven and thriving blackberry whips bit back - hard. I only have a couple of those this time, thankfully. The wasps didn't even pester me back this year. What's up with that? Last year they buzzed me off in droves, but this time they meandered lazily out of reach until I was done. Thanks guys, but... what gives? Nature... so weird.
Oh, and Neighbor Lady, even though you will never read this or really care - you can stop wrinkling your nose at the vines that have dared to batter their way a foot over the fence to your boxwoods. The horror! How dare green things actually do the unthinkable and grow! I've trimmed them... and your weeds.. hope you're happy. I know you're not, but I've made it all pretty and happy for me anyway.
Twenty pounds of grapes later - and plentiful amounts left for the wildlife, not to worry - I now am trying to think of the best use for them all. Wine? Went over that. I talked myself out that easily enough by not having 2/3 of the equipment. It takes more than bare feet and a vat big enough - who knew. I do now and I can't do it. But next year, I plan ahead and give it a try!
I can make more jelly, I guess.

Hahah... okay, so I can't count. It appears my last post was only a draft I deleted soooo it's actually been -4- years since I really posted until this week. All the more reason I need to keep up on this thing, even if I'm putting up drivel. It's a habit... it's supposed to be a good habit. I could debate that too, but the point is more that I ... do something... something that's escaped my grasp for any witty, or not-so-witty, explanation at the moment. Explanation - I'm not even sure that's the word I wanted right now. Tired - that's definitely among the current top ten of ones that do fit. I'm up nearly 3 hours past my bedtime, watching the dogs bounce around the room. Maybe I'll curl up on their cushion and let them type a while instead. I'm sure it would make as much sense. G'Night.

Tiny bubbles...
...not the carbonated beverage variety, but bubbles instead of numbers! I added a cute little counter today that goes nicely with the layout and isn't distracting with large numerals. This is good because I tend to obsess over watching as they change - or don't change, which may be a worse affliction. I'll still look, but it's different with graphics than numbers somehow.
I also put a gadget at the very bottom of the page that shows different pictures of the moon which I think is pretty darn spiffy... not to mention relaxing and inspiring on many levels. Hahah, now you're going to scroll down and look! I hope... hm.
I'm listening to coverage of the democratic convention in the background and realizing that politics... moreso the media's currently senseless pandering... gives me a headache. I could... and probably will... spout flames about my thoughts on this election year, but not tonight. I'm in Colorado, not quite at 'ground zero' for the convention happenings, and for right now I will say that things are not normal around here. Of course they're not. I mean we don't have a national campaign convention every year, but it's more than that - much. I don't have much oomph to put stuff here about it all tonight, but felt compelled to type something -anything- before going to bed. Wow, wasn't that exciting? I bet you're curious now, huh? Well, you'll have to wait.

The wyrm turns
Now it has been nearly two years since I set fingers to keys on this board. What has happened? What has changed?
First things first, I've decided Tripp is so much a part of my role-playing world - now comprising no less than twenty variations on a theme, in a variety of genres - that he, I - we? - needed to change my screenname to reflect the fact that he is gatekeeper of my muses, where Kyte is merely the caretaker of his humble abode in the walls of my imagination. Grand it is, too, that they get along so well - so long as he keeps the wet towels off the bed!
That being said, my screenname is now shown as Tripp, my main alter-ego who has more than enough ego on his own for the both of us. He would be said 'wyrm' referenced in my title tonight - dastardly bastich he is. He says I needed incentive to actually throw all these random thoughts somewhere - that IS what a blog is for, is it not? Leave it to friends to help calculate further levels of my downfall by providing more incentive along with his not-so-gentle push and showing me pretty, lacey, drapey layouts that scream - come write NOW! The layout, along with my persona, has been updated and I must say I want to come visit and write and wander about among the lines and loops of the background. Thank you Lovely for your hard work!! I need to bestow much love on her for her work and will kindly do so on her page, too!
It is late. I am tired. I am running out of curious things to add at this time. That I did add something is at very least a start. With luck, I will return much sooner this time to add more and keep this thing ticking along interestingly with far more regularity.
